The Final Sequence

We made it! Finally we find ourselves at.. The [LIALC] Blog: Week Of Wac Sequences! DAY 5

A week in skateboarding is a long time, but a day after last night's Heel Toe Magic premiere and riding home at about 3.30 am after a few beers feels even longer. It's a miracle that I got round to doing this at all.

So here's the last of the crappy quality sequences. It's Awadh in this one again, showing just how comfortable he his with the hips at meanwhile.

My brain is working too slowly to come up with any witty sign-off so I'll just say goodbye for now and maybe see you in Bristol this weekend.

Cheers all,

[LIALC]: Week Of Wac Sequences! Day 4.

Got to be quick today I'm afraid. Busy, busy.

Thought I'd throw another little slice of Adam and his low-down style from the weekend. Johners has the "Trujillo, suck up and ride you arse on the floor" steeze all sewn up, and this is a good example of that.

Photobucket

You'll notice in the Background of one frame, Alan brandishing his VX22thousand HD Time-Machine Camera. Alan had been sent to the floor by a Kid-on-BMX/Hole-in-Floor combo and decided that filming was less likely to put yet another hole in his mangled knee. Keep them peeled for a Meanwhile Edit from him soon.

Heel Toe Magic premiere tonight, don't get your hopes up for a review or anything, ok?

Maybe see you there.

The [LIALC] Blog: Week Of Wac Sequences! Day 3.

Yep, I'm still dragging out these iPhone photos from last Saturday.

Riding Ten miles to go for a skate means that limiting the contents of my bag is normally a good idea. Of course losing the weight of a Canon DSLR and two flashes leaves me with only my iPhone for photo duties. A few photo applications are fun and this sequence one is probably the most fun, but let's get this straight... nothing beats using the right tools for the job.

The reason I mention this is because the day I choose to wuss-out on carrying cameras is the day that Awadh turns up and starts throwing these around like fun.. on an empty stomach I might ad.

Photobucket

Before the F-S nose-grab competition began (which harry won), Jamie (Harry) was getting familiar with the hip with a few old faithfuls, one of which just happened to be a F-S Mute.

Photobucket

I still don't know if Adam got Harry the pint for first Nose-Grab, maybe it will be a bit of the old "Double-or-quits" for F-S Stale-fish next time.

Day 4 tomorrow, yep... there are more.

OK! Day 2 of... The [LIALC] Blog: Week Of Wac Sequences!

As I mentioned yesterday Stevie T made the journey up form Brighton where he has a skateshop that basically props up the entire Brighton scene called Another Skateshop at 29 Gloucester Road. I don't think he's got a website yet but if I discover otherwise I'll post it.

The shop is not the most interesting thing about Stevie, his skating is. He's one of the smoothest skaters I've ever known. He makes hard to skate places look like micro mini's and harsh, steep transitions look like flat banks.

Here is Stevie hitting up his current favorite trick on the tomb

Photobucket

As I like to tie in one item on this blog to another I should also mention that Stevie feature's in the new Andy Evans flick that premieres in Manchester and London this Thursday..

Here's the trailer..

And here's the London flyer.. get on it!!

See you there!

Finally A Day Of Meanwhile Sun

It's been a bad year for me and Meanwhile Bowls. Rainy Wednesdays for the last 22 consecutive weeks hasn't helped. It got to the point where this weekend was completely built around a Saturday skate at Meanwhile. Nothing was getting in the way.

E-mails were sent out and a few people were due to turn up through-out the day so my 11:45 AM. arrival found John F. already there, next up was Jamie Harrison, then Adam next thing you know Brendan turns up, Alan, Zac even Stevie T. had jumped on a train from Brighton a whim... and they just kept coming...

It was possibly one of the best and most fun sessions I've had anywhere for a couple of years. the sun was blazing, Alan had his HD Camera out, at some points it was a veritable media scrum and there I was with my iPhone elbowing Zac and Alan out of the way on the platforms to bring you...

The [LIALC] Blog: Week Of Wac Sequences!

The above title is in no way a coment on the skating but the tiny size and poor quality of the image making.

So here we go..

First up Brendan tucking it right up.

Photobucket

And then Adam going for the roots with a method.

Photobucket

I may take my camera out again soon, but until then you have to make do with..

The [LIALC] Blog: Week Of Wac Sequences! Day 2... coming soon.

Cheers you lot.

The Land of Eastern Promise

It's important that we don't lose sight of what this blog is actually all about... The Mag!

That's right, that little magazine that gets produced for your pleasure and enlightenment, with skateboarding and the odd bike here and there.

So far the production process has been a slow and painful one, but no loner, well it's still slow. Now that the process is part mechanised I can do slightly larger batches at a time. As a result LCB on Bethnal Green Road have a fresh batch of issue #2 for your enjoyment.

Get down there and bother the boys to give you one.

You can check out the shop here from your armchair...LCB surf/skate/snow

Anyone who wants thier local Skateshop to stock the mag just mail me.

lizard-mag@hotmail.com

Maybe see you down Meanwhile this weekend.
